Founder/director Deano Wilson Rouse of Talk of the
Town Productions (centre), presents a cheque for $3,000 to Ted and Sue Lavell
for the Julia Gilman medical fund. Julia Is an eight-year-old Brantford girt who
is bravely fighting Lukemia. Deano and some of her troupe had performed at the
Lavell's fundraiser for Julia in November. Deano and her Talk of the Town
company were in rehearsals for her third family panto Pirates Take Brantford at
the Sanderson Centre. Deano approached the Lavell's and Gilman Family saying she
had six performances coming up and that she would like to donate all tickets on
Dec. 6 matinee to Julia's medical fund. Julia was so enthralled with the
performance she and her best friend Amber joined the cast on stage to end the
show.
