For brave Julia

One of our major fund raising initiatives from this year's panto 'Pirates Take Brantford' will be towards the fund set up for 8-years-old Brantford girl Julia Gilman, who is fighting leukaemia. Proceeds from our matinee performance on December 6 will be earmarked for this brave little princess. While there is no cost for hospital treatments, the family has only partial coverage for other needs, including steroids, washes for Julia's mouth sores, patches for skin wounds and medication taken at home. Those additional costs could add up to several hundred dollars a month for Julia's parents, Christina and Peter, who both work in retail. Recently Wayne Gretsky's father Walter lent his support to a fundraiser which will see Julia's cousin Amber Scott have her hair shaved in support of little Julia.
